Basketball Game Preview: Sequim Wolves vs. Port Angeles Roughriders

Sequim hasn't had much luck against Port Angeles recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sequim Wolves will challenge the Port Angeles Roughriders at 5:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Sequim is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Sequim might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 56-36 to East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum], which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Port Angeles lost to Central Kitsap on the road by a 54-40 margin on Friday.

Sequim's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Port Angeles, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Sequim couldn't quite finish off Port Angeles in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 66-64. Can Sequim avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
