Softball Recap: Mountain House Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mountain House, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Oakdale by a score of 5-1 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Luna Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Isabel Obaob was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Mountain House's record is now 16-5. As for Oakdale, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Mountain House didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 win against Sierra on the 22nd. As for Oakdale, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Elk Grove on the 25th.
