Football Game Preview: Palmer Ridge Bears vs. Rampart Rams

Palmer Ridge is a perfect 5-0 against Rampart since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bears will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Palmer Ridge is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Friday, Palmer Ridge really took it to Vista Ridge for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-7 win. Considering the Bears have won seven matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Harris had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 264 yards and three touchdowns. Those 264 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Magnus Newman was Harris' top target, picking up 99 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Rampart got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 17-3 victory over Liberty. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Rampart didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Solomon Giles and Kingstin Trujillo Mahar. Rampart received some extra help from Giles, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Palmer Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Rampart, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Palmer Ridge has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 211.6 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Rampart, though, as they've been averaging only 64.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Palmer Ridge took their victory against Rampart when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 30-7 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
