Baseball Recap: Cedar Bluff Wins Going Away Against Section

It was a proper cat-fight when Cedar Bluff challenged Section on Saturday. The Cedar Bluff Tigers were the clear victor by a 13-7 margin over the Section Lions. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jacob Chambers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Chambers was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Cedar Bluff got a massive performance out of Kuper Bradley, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Bryson Teague was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Cedar Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Section dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cedar Bluff will challenge Sand Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sand Rock will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Section, they will face off against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
