Basketball Recap: Morton Ranch Takes a Loss

Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 77-51 to the Katy Taylor Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-46 back in November of 2024.

Morton Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Katy Taylor, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Morton Ranch will face off against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Katy Taylor, they will challenge Cinco Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Katy Taylor is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Cinco Ranch a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
