Recap: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans

The Silverado Skyhawks lost against the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Silverado fell to Cimarron-Memorial 39-34. Silverado has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Skyhawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Timia Thomas, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and eight steals. Thomas also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingsley Jones, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will take on Sierra Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Rancho is ranked 39th, while Cimarron-Memorial is ranked 30th).
