Baseball Game Preview: Mater Bay Academy Rays vs. Marathon Dolphins

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Marathon was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jupiter Christian. The Dolphins' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mater Bay Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Marathon, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mater Bay Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Marathon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Mater Bay Academy suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Marathon in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Rays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
