Basketball Recap: The Pinnacle Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lotus School For Excellence last Friday, The Pinnacle came back down to earth. The Pinnacle Timberwolves fell 40-31 to the Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels on Wednesday.

Golden View Classical Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jade Edrich, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Those three steals gave Edrich a new career-high. Audrey Clark was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

The Pinnacle's defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Golden View Classical Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.

Looking ahead, The Pinnacle won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bruce Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pinnacle is facing Bruce Randolph at the right time seeing as Bruce Randolph is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Golden View Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
