Volleyball Game Preview: Bureau Valley Storm vs. Riverdale Rams + How To Watch

The Bureau Valley Storm will head out to challenge the Riverdale Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Bureau Valley didn't have quite enough to beat ROWVA/Williamsfield and fell 2-1.

Bureau Valley might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on ROWVA/Williamsfield: every set was decided by two points or less. The final score came out to 31-29, 23-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Riverdale hadn't done well against Orion recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 2-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Riverdale never let Orion on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23.

Bureau Valley better focus on containing Kamryn Kruger and Lola Wainwright as the pair were huge in Riverdale's win. Kruger had ten digs and three aces, while Wainwright had ten assists and two aces. That's the most aces Kruger has posted over her last ten matches.

Bureau Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Riverdale, their record now sits at 20-10-1.

Bureau Valley came up short against Riverdale in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Storm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
