Baseball Game Preview: Graford Jack Rabbits vs. Poolville Monarchs

The Graford Jack Rabbits will face off against the Poolville Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Graford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Graford took an 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hico, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jack Rabbits skirted past the Tigers 7-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Jack Rabbits as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jaxon Ragle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Gray, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Altum, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Poolville suffered their biggest loss since March 10th on Friday. They came up short against Fort Worth Country Day, falling 14-4. The Monarchs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Poolville's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Graford, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Graford couldn't quite get it done against Poolville when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-4. Can the Jack Rabbits avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
