Softball Game Preview: Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats vs. St. Mary's Rams

Ben Holt College Prep Academy is 0-4 against St. Mary since March of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Ben Holt College Prep Academy will be strutting in after a win while St. Mary's will be coming in after a loss.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Woodland Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Cardinals on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy let Julieann Drulias and Mindy Claypool run wild. Drulias got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Claypool went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Adryana Young, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 9-0.

Ava Arucan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, St. Mary's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Cazarez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from St. Mary's in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
