Basketball Recap: Frederica Academy Takes a Loss

Frederica Academy was the 69-38 winner over Westminster Schools of Augusta when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Frederica Academy fell just short of the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats by a score of 53-50 on Thursday. The loss put an end to Frederica Academy's undefeated start to the season.

It was another big night for India Williams, who posted 32 points in addition to five boards and three steals for Westminster Schools of Augusta. The contest was Williams' 19th in a row with at least 19 points. Perry Catherine Weaver was another key player, putting up four points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Frederica Academy fell to 17-1. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Frederica Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-24 win against Pinewood Christian on the 7th. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they have also already played their next match, a 45-29 defeat against Bulloch Academy on the 8th.
