Fernandina Beach waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They managed a 47-43 victory over the Dr. Phillips Panthers. 47 seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Fernandina Beach had a senior duo take command as Jake Aronowitz went 5 of 11 en route to 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists and Dominik Dunlap went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Jones, who posted four points and nine boards.

Fernandina Beach has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Dr. Phillips, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Fernandina Beach will challenge Palatka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Palatka: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Fernandina Beach has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. As for Dr. Phillips, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-63 defeat against Ocoee on the 21st.
