After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelbyville Central, Moore County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Fayetteville Tigers. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Lailar Logan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Logan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Moore County let Kenzie Howard and Jenny Sanders run wild. Howard went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Sanders went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Sanders has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ellie Carter, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Moore County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.8.

Moore County's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6. As for Fayetteville, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Moore County and Fayetteville will both be playing Huntland the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
