Volleyball Recap: Malvern Takes a Loss

Malvern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgewood Generals. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Generals when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 12-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Ella Debo paced Malvern's offense, picking up 13 kills. Debo got some help from Ashlyn Bush and her 16 assists. Zoe Sikorsky controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Malvern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ridgewood, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Malvern is taking a road trip to take on Indian Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridgewood, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Newcomerstown at 5:30 p.m.
