Basketball Game Preview: Harlem Bulldogs vs. Southwest Patriots

The Harlem Bulldogs will take on the Southwest Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Harlem kicked off their season on the road two weeks ago and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 67-48 fall against Houston County. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite their defeat, Harlem saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Justin Beckham, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 15 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was AJ Williams, who posted 13 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Southwest suffered their closest loss since January 17th on Wednesday. They fell just short of Peachtree Ridge by a score of 65-63. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.
