Basketball Recap: La Crescent Takes a Loss

La Crescent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 95-71 to the Holmen Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 213th in Minnesota, while the Vikings are ranked 41st in Wisconsin).

La Crescent now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Holmen, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Crescent won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fillmore Central at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Holmen, they will venture away from home to take on Eau Claire North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
