American International Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 on January 9th. They suffered a tough 57-31 loss at the hands of Douglass. While losing is never fun, American International Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 571st, while Douglass is ranked 240th).
Meanwhile, Communication Media Arts scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Academy of the Americas 48-30. That 18 points margin sets a new team best for Communication Media Arts this season.
American International Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Communication Media Arts, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.
