Football Recap: Jeremery Bass and Shakil Young Pace Riverview Defense + How To Watch

Riverview hadn't done well against East Bay recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Sharks blew past the Indians 35-14. The Sharks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6, 2024 (when they won 41-12).

Riverview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeremery Bass and Shakil Young. Bass is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Riverview received some extra help from Dominic Persaud, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Riverview's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-3. As for East Bay, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Riverview will face off against Bloomingdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Bay, they will take on Spoto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
