Baseball Recap: Ramsay Comes Up Short

Ramsay lost to John Carroll Catholic on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams lost 13-7 to the Cavaliers. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pierce Alexander and Zion Rice stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alexander went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Rice went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Corey Goodwin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ramsay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for John Carroll Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-13 record this season.

Ramsay will square off against Carver Birmingham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will face off against Gardendale at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
