Softball Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

King's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers.

King's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Calhoun Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. King's Academy will head out to take on Pee Dee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calhoun Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Holly Hill Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 13.1 runs per game this season.
