Recap: Estrella Foothills Wolves vs. Deer Valley Skyhawks
Make it 18 blowout wins for the Estrella Foothills Wolves this season. They really took it to Deer Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-29 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Estrella Foothills sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Estrella Foothills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nemo Sidhu, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sidhu has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Eva Amenhauser, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists.
Estrella Foothills pushed their record up to 22-3 with that win, which was their 20th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.7 points. As for Deer Valley, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.
Estrella Foothills will head out on the road to take on Cactus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cactus will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Estrella Foothills is ranked 29th). As for Deer Valley, they will be playing at home against Agua Fria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
