Basketball Recap: Franklin Monroe Takes a Loss

Franklin Monroe lost against Arcanum back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Franklin Monroe Jets were dealt a 63-28 loss at the hands of the Arcanum Trojans. The Jets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.

It was another big night for Lexy Gibbons, who posted 18 points for Arcanum. The game was Gibbons' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Caroline Long was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Franklin Monroe has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Arcanum, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Monroe has already played their next game (against Middletown Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arcanum has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Northmont.
