Greenbrier Christian Academy dropped their record down to 19-2 on Friday, which also ended the team's 16-game streak of wins. They fell 11-7 to the Nansemond River Warriors. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Gators, who until this match were averaging 3.52 runs allowed.

Josh Henkel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

As for Nansemond River, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

On Nansemond River's side, they let Buddy Baker and Konner Johnson run wild.
