Baseball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

Sycamore was the 3-0 winner over Greenbrier when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The War Eagles fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday.

Sycamore saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Perry, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Jordan Briscoe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Greenbrier, they moved to 11-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Sycamore will be playing in front of their home fans against Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the War Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greenbrier, they will venture away from home to challenge Fairview at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
