Basketball Game Preview: Morehead Panthers vs. Northeast Guilford Rams + How To Watch

Morehead is 9-1 against Northeast Guilford since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Rams at 8:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Morehead took a blow against Eastern Alamance, falling 96-63. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Morehead might have lost, but man, Cavin Corum was a machine: he shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Corum is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Taevion Peterson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Northeast Guilford strolled past Western Guilford with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 71-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Morehead's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northeast Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Morehead came up short against Northeast Guilford in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 58-52. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
