Softball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Clear Fork Colts
Lexington came out on top against Clear Fork on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Minutemen walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Colts. The win continues a trend for the Minutemen in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won four in a row.
Makaree Chapman made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Addy Williams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
