Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mya Comer and Kirkley Lowe Lead Greensburg to Victory

Greensburg lost to Greenfield-Central back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Pirates blew past the Cougars 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Greensburg not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Greenfield-Central between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-18.

Greensburg was led to victory by Kirkley Lowe and Mya Comer. Lowe had ten digs and six assists, while Comer hit 83.3% for five kills and ten digs and four aces. That's the most aces Comer has posted since back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Greenfield-Central still got an impressive performance from Addi Rugenstein, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Greensburg's record is now 2-0. As for Greenfield-Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Greensburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Triton Central on the 21st. As for Greenfield-Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Speedway on the 23rd.
