Volleyball Recap: Elyria Christian Takes a Loss

Elyria Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Canton-Galva Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Canton-Galva this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17.

Elyria Christian's offense was headlined by Joy Pyle and Amelia Moody, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Laney Reiff and her four assists.

Elyria Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Canton-Galva, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Canton-Galva beat Elyria Christian by a score of 2-0 later that day.
