Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Xavier Proctor stepped things up a notch to give St. Charles the 'W'. Proctor tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for St. Charles: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Proctor and St. Charles will take on Lackey at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Proctor had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their match back in March 14-8.
