Volleyball Recap: Chickasha Triumphs

Chickasha proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Clinton Red Tornadoes. For the Fighting Chicks, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Red Tornadoes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Chickasha who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 25-19, 12-25, 15-10.

Among those leading the charge was Ari Andrew, who had 26 digs and two aces. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high. Ava Brown also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Chickasha was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Chickasha is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Clinton, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Chickasha has already played their next contest (against El Reno), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clinton also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Altus.
