Soccer Game Preview: Glendale vs. La Joya Community

The Glendale Cardinals will face off against the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Glendale has three straight wins, La Joya Community has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Glendale's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Fairfax. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won three matches by six goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, La Joya Community lost 4-1 to Washington on Wednesday.

La Joya Community's goal came courtesy of Alexyah Marquez, who's now up to six this season.

La Joya Community's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-2. As for Glendale, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything went Glendale's way against La Joya Community when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Glendale made off with a 5-1 win. Does Glendale have another victory up their sleeve, or will La Joya Community turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
