Baseball Recap: Braddock Takes a Loss

Braddock lost against Southwest back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell 6-3 to the Eagles.

Eduardo Echeverria was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jorge Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Sebastian Llamozas was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Braddock's loss dropped their record down to 15-5-1. As for Southwest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Braddock will challenge Coral Shores at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwest, they will square off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
