Baseball Game Preview: Glasgow Scotties vs. Hart County Raiders

The Glasgow Scotties will head out to face off against the Hart County Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Glasgow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Glasgow made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Logan County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Scotties fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Scotties in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

Huston Haynes made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Caldwell, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Hart County lost 11-1 to Cumberland County on Saturday.

Hart County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-23. As for Glasgow, their loss dropped their record down to 18-15.

Glasgow got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Hart County by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scotties since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
