Football Recap: Tipton Starts off Right with Win over Frankton

Tipton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 41-12 win over the Frankton Eagles. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Blue Devils had established a 22-point advantage.

Tipton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quinn Tolle, who threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. The dominant performance also gave Tolle a new career-high in passer rating (147.7). Tipton's leading receiver Dakota Garmon was Tolle's top target yet again, picking up 199 receiving yards and three TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Tipton proved: they limited Frankton to a paltry 1.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Zane I. Durham for the heroic effort on defense: he. Tipton's ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.
