Volleyball Recap: Colusa Comes Up Short

Colusa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Durham Trojans. The RedHawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Colusa was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Durham work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 28-26, 25-21.

Peyton Miller paced Colusa's offense, picking up 12 kills. Miller got some help from Cindel Oliver and her ten assists. Abigail Coronado controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Colusa's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Durham, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Colusa will challenge Gridley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Durham, they will face off against East Nicolaus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
