Basketball Game Preview: Treutlen Vikings vs. Montgomery County Eagles

The Treutlen Vikings will face off against the Montgomery County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Treutlen is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Treutlen came up short against Dublin and fell 49-36. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, Montgomery County hadn't done well against Dooly County recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Montgomery County managed a 61-56 win over Dooly County.

Treutlen's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Montgomery County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-20.

Everything came up roses for Treutlen against Montgomery County when the teams last played last Saturday, as the team secured a 100-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Treutlen since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
