Basketball Recap: North Shore Country Day Raiders vs. Elgin Academy Hilltoppers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northridge, the North Shore Country Day Raiders were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They snuck past Elgin Academy with a 53-49 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Shore Country Day also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Several Hilltoppers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rahul Gowda, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Tacher, who scored 11 points.
North Shore Country Day's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Elgin Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.
North Shore Country Day will head out on the road to square off against the Hilltoppers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maroons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
