Softball Recap: Downtown Magnets Takes a Loss

Downtown Magnets was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 26-8 to the USC-MAE Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Suns of the 22-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Downtown Magnets' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for USC-MAE, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Downtown Magnets will welcome Animo Bunche at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Suns are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for USC-MAE, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Annenberg at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
