Softball Recap: Lancaster Falls Short of La Canada in the Playoffs

Lancaster and La Canada squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lancaster had to settle for second. They lost 13-5 to the Spartans. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Elsy Herrera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Jordyn Zinn was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for La Canada, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Lancaster nor La Canada have any future games scheduled.
