Soccer Recap: Bryan Takes a Loss

Bryan entered their game against Harker Heights on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bryan Vikings fell just short of the Harker Heights Knights by a score of 2-1. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Bryan's goal came courtesy of Itzhel Alvarez, who's now up to three this season.

Bryan's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Harker Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Bryan will head out on the road to square off against Shoemaker at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harker Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Copperas Cove at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
