South Point has gone a perfect 10-0 against North Gaston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Raiders will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. North Gaston took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on South Point, who comes in off a win.

South Point will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Crest, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Red Raiders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chargers 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Red Raiders as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

South Point was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-105), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Meanwhile, North Gaston lost 3-0 to Kings Mountain on Monday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-12, 25-6.

South Point's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for North Gaston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

South Point took their win against North Gaston when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
