Football Recap: Macomb Bombers vs. Geneseo Maple Leafs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Macomb can now relate to. They were beaten by the Geneseo Maple Leafs 29-0 on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bombers were not able to get on the board.
Kaden Knupp threw for 74 yards on six of 17 attempts. Drew Watson was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards. On the ground, Drake May rushed for 44 yards.
Jackson McAvoy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Geneseo, rushing for 109 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 58 yards and one TD. Those three rushing touchdowns gave McAvoy a new career-high.
