Preview: North Davidson Black Knights vs. Ledford Panthers
North Davidson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Ledford Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Thursday, North Davidson came up short against Central Davidson and fell 28-20.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Ledford made sure to put some points up on the board against Asheboro last Thursday. Ledford was the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over Asheboro. The result was nothing new for Ledford, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Alex Sanford got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 423 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Sanford hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Central Davidson's victory bumped their season record to 5-4 while North Davidson's defeat dropped theirs to 3-6.
North Davidson lost to Ledford on the road by a decisive 42-24 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for North Davidson, Nathan Carr (who rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
