Basketball Recap: Bertrand's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If South Loup wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bertrand, they should've done a better job of containing Brooklyn Evans. The Bertrand Vikings simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat South Loup 58-24 thanks in part to Evans, who went 10 for 14 on her way to 26 points and seven steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Bertrand's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for South Loup, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bertrand will challenge Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Loup, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maxwell at 6:00 p.m.
