Soccer Recap: Montclair Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked San Pasqual

Montclair had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the San Pasqual Golden Eagles on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cavaliers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 41st).

Montclair's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for San Pasqual, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montclair will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chaffey at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
