The Ocean Lakes Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kempsville. Ocean Lakes has not had much luck with Kempsville recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Ocean Lakes' loss came despite strong showings from Jasymn Miller and Samara Williams. Miller scored 21 points, while Williams scored eight points along with 18 rebounds. That was a full 53.8% of Ocean Lakes' points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ocean Lakes has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Kempsville, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Ocean Lakes will be playing in front of their home fans against Cox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kempsville, they will head out on the road to challenge Princess Anne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
