Volleyball Game Preview: Delcastle Technical Cougars vs. Delmarva Christian Royals

The Delcastle Technical Cougars will head out to face off against the Delmarva Christian Royals at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Delcastle Technical is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Delcastle Technical is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Dickinson, who was ranked 21st at the time (Delcastle Technical was ranked 16th). The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Rams on Friday.

Meanwhile, Delmarva Christian made easy work of Sussex Academy on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now won four in a row.

Delmarva Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Delcastle Technical, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-7.

Delcastle Technical took their victory against Delmarva Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
