Basketball Recap: Panther Creek Find Success

Panther Creek won the last time they faced Apex, and Andre Richardson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panther Creek Catamounts came out on top against the Apex Cougars by a score of 57-46 on Friday thanks in part to Richardson, who went 6 for 11 en route to 20 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chip Persson, who posted eight points and three blocks. Zaelyn White was another key player, putting up six points.

Panther Creek's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Apex, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Panther Creek will face off against Green Hope at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apex, they will challenge Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Holly Springs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Apex surely won't give up without a fight.
