Baseball Recap: Montebello Takes a Loss

Montebello lost against Arcadia back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Montebello Oilers fell 7-3 to the Arcadia Apaches.

Aaron Vallejo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Isaiah Cervantes was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Montebello's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Arcadia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Montebello will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Gabriel at 3:30 p.m. on March 3rd. As for Arcadia, they will challenge Bishop Amat on Saturday.
